The work of this committee began with seeking agreement on the definition of cycle time, epitomizing one of the key strengths of CCIF – reaching consensus on basic matters that everyone assumes are universally understood in the same way…but aren’t. Once they had agreed on the definition, they moved on to explode some myths about cycle time and develop many useful and practical ideas on how to reduce it. Reducing cycle time leads to lower costs, increased capacity and satisfied customers.
