Attracting and Retaining Staff Committee:
This committee was established to produce ideas and solutions to the critical issue of attracting young people into the collision repair industry and of creating sufficient variation in scope and advancement opportunities to maintain their interest.
Recommendations from this committee led to the first ever human resource study of the Canadian collision repair industry,
"Prep for the
Future"
and to the production of “The Art of Earning”, a CD-ROM designed for use in
attracting young people into the industry.
There was a standing ovation from the 240 participants at CCIF Toronto when Mark Millson, a bodyman apprentice at Budd’s Collision, Oakville, ON, finished his story of success in the Canada’ skills
competitions.
Mark has reason to be proud, as does Canada’s collision repair industry in wishing him well as he goes to the next, and ultimate stage of competition.
Read Mark’s presentation to understand his achievements, his commitment and dedication to an industry that he loves.
